Thanks to Brian,

our fantastic School of Art tech, I have a picture today. I spent the day mixing/cleaning/pulling my hair out in Kent's large scale enameling facility which was in need of a little TLC. I'm not super confident about all that goes on down there, because I am the utter opposite of a 2-D artist (large scale enameling is generally used for large, 2-D painterly enameled works) so I'm a little behind the 8-ball in preparing to teach it to my class, but I'm getting there.

Have I ever mentioned

that I married a Texas alum? This means that even though he was an art major, and displays no real interest in any sporting events, we have to watch Texas beat Missouri (my home state, though not my alma mater) and Oklahoma whenever possible. Which they did last night, and a couple weeks ago--respectively.

I totally made a video! All by myself! (well, I mean, picasa was a big a help) but no person had to help me!! I'm so proud!

In response to a request by Arthur Hash, the above video is an overview of how I construct a tab-fit copper ornament. Enjoy. And if you have any problems with it, I'm not sure I want to know.
