N. and I spent the second half of last week at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, South Carolina where our good friend from grad school, Katy Cassell is running jewelry/metals department. We lectured and demo-ed and juried their National High School Metals show. Though I had a terrible cold (and still do), we had a great time.Daily photo: 2.11.09

My mom's school trip to D.C.
This pic from 1968, shows my mom (in the oval circle on the left) and my aunt (in the round circle on the right) getting ready for a class trip to D.C.. This is how I picture the '60s; in black and white. I guess I think sometime in the '70s, humanity walked from the Kansas house into Oz and found color.When my mom saw herself in this picture, she thought it was me for a second--that's how much we look alike.
