Visited the scrap yard yesterday, where, incidentally, they are paying $3/lbs for copper scrap! (very high!!).
I love scrap yards, but in a surreal and slightly uncomfortable way. They are very post-apocalyptic and the shear number of things that could cause tetanus boggles the mind. Not to mention the numerous machines that could crush or mangle the pitiful human body without straining one tiny, insignificant, gear. But there's also so much great stuff that the right person could salvage. **sigh** Life is full of such contradictions.
I wonder, if this place is left in it's current state--and let's face it, it probably will be--will it turn into a deeply buried ball of iron ore in 3 million years?
